Non-Conductive Thermoplastic Hoses - 518D
*PRODUCT IMAGE IS REPRESENTATIVE PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. DO NOT MAKE BUYING DECISIONS SOLEY BASED ON THE IMAGE. PLEASE VERIFY SPECIFICATIONS MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
Parker’s Non-Conductive Thermoplastic Hose, 518D, has a high density braid to handle maximum impulse life without the loss of flexibility. The lay lines on this 100R7 list both ANSI and SAE maximum working pressures. It is the optimal solution for medium pressure hydraulic service where hydraulic circuit exposure and contact with high voltage may be encountered.
Parflex 518D Series can also be used with field attachable fittings on sizes -3, -4, -8 and -10. Using field attachable fittings allows operators to quickly, and easily, make hose assemblies in the field without a crimper.
Markets:
• Machine Tool
• Industrial
• Mobile Equipment
• Transportation
• Material Handling
Features/Benefits:
• Nylon core sizes 518D feature maximum resistance to permeable fluids
• 518D-4 – Super high-density braid for maximum impulse life without loss of flexibility.
• Improved abrasion resistance.
• Available as a formed hose and/or bonded hose assembly
• Low coefficient of friction cover• Twin or multi-line constructions available
Applications:
• Medium pressure hydraulic service where hydraulic circuit exposure and contact with high voltage may be encountered
• Turf equipment and grounds maintenance
• Utility trucks
• Aerial Lift
Certifications/Compliance:
• Meets SAE J517 electrical standards (non-conductivity)
• Meets/Exceeds SAE J517 100R7
• DNV Type Approved
• ANSI A92.2
• ISO 3949-R7-2
Technical Specifications:
• Tube: Nylon, except -16. 518D-16 - Copolyester
• Reinforcement: Fiber
• Cover: Polyurethane
Note:
• Lay lines on hoses will have both ANSI and SAE maximum pressure listed; ANSI A92.2 “Vehicle Mounted Elevating and Rotating Aerial Devices”
• Only the SAE pressures are listed in the table. Review Catalog 4660 to view ANSI and SAE pressures.
• +/- 2% Change in length at maximum working pressure
• Hose I.D. is nominal
• Hose O.D. is maximum
