For industries such as material handling, construction and agriculture, integration of reliable low temperature hydraulic hoses can dramatically improve system longevity and performance. Parflex 53LT/538LT DuraMax™ hoses are designed to perform in low temperatures, while still maintaining flexibility. Traditional rubber hoses used in low temperature applications can stiffen and crack, leading to failures, however, thermoplastic hoses remain flexible and abrasion resistant in extreme cold. The DuraMax™ hose family has been tested in an over-the-sheave freezer test stand to mimic mobile equipment applications that operate with continual flexing in temperatures as low as -70°F. These thermoplastic hoses were able to withstand the rigorous testing without any compromise to hose life.
