XTREAMSORB® XS Carbon Adsorber Cartridge

The XtreamSorb®, Series XS, depth style filter-adsorber cartridge incorporates both PEACH® filtration technology and proprietary carbon block technology to provide an unprecedented two-stage cartridge with filtration and adsorption capabilities all in one. XtreamSorb cartridges provide maximized adsorption of impurities such as heavy hydrocarbons, degradation compounds and aromatics from process liquids and water.

Series XS can directly retrofit traditional granular carbon canisters and provides users improved adsorption kinetics, lower suspended solids and hydrocarbons in effluent, reduced carbon fines downstream, significant change-out time savings, lighter weight for handling during change-outs and a smaller footprint for shipping and disposal.

FEATURES/BENEFITS
•First stage PEACH filter removes solid particulate and keeps second stage carbon block clean to be fully utilized for adsorption and provide extended service life.
• Second stage is a proprietary carbon block technology specifically designed for removal of longer chain heavy hydrocarbons seen in TEG and Amine process purification systems.
•Carbon block structure prevents carbon movement and fluid channeling prevalent in traditional granular carbon.
•Carbon block yields a higher level of mass transfer kinetics than granular carbon, resulting in a smaller more ergonomic footprint and cleaner process steam. Customers experience lower suspended solids and hydrocarbon levels.
•Carbon block does not release fines like granular carbon does, therefore it eliminates the need for downstream particulate filtration.
•The smaller, lighter weight cartridge improves overall operational cost savings from operator ergonomics, elimination of confined space entry, reduction of change-out time, less warehouse space, to lower shipping and disposal costs.
