Wellhead Grease Fittings, Pressure Relief Tools & Plugs Series

Parker PGI’s Pressure Relief Tools and Plugs are offered in three styles to fit a variety of applications. These Pressure Relief Tools properly connect to fittings to allow body cavity pressure to be vented to atmosphere.

The standard Pressure Relief Tool PR11S8 connects to 1”-14 UNS thread sized Body Grease capped fittings and Giant Button Head capped fittings and has a 1/2” female NPT vent port to bleed to atmosphere.  This PR tool has no pressure rating.

The Pressure Relief Tool with Bleeder PR12S8 is standard with a bleeder valve attached.  It also connects to 1”-14 UNS thread sized Body Grease capped fittings and Giant Button Head capped fittings and has a 1/2” female NPT vent port.  This PR tool is rated for 10,000 psi service and has a port available for mounting a pressure gage (supplied by others).

The Pressure Relief Tool for Packing Injection Fittings F2-021-10 is only used to bleed pressure through a packing injection fitting.  It is compatible with all Parker PGI packing injectors with 1/2"-20 UNF I.D. threads.

Parker PGI also offers a Packing Injection / Bleeder Plug which is also used to relieve pressure in McEvoy style wellheads.  It is offered in 7/8”-9 or 1/2”-13 UNC thread sizes.
