UHP PTFE Fluoropolymer Back Pressure Regulator (1/2 inch) – BR-08 Series
*PRODUCT IMAGE IS REPRESENTATIVE PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. DO NOT MAKE BUYING DECISIONS SOLEY BASED ON THE IMAGE. PLEASE VERIFY SPECIFICATIONS MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
The Parker BR-08 Series is a 1/2 inch PTFE fluoropolymer back pressure regulator that is designed for use in ultra-high purity (UHP), DI water, aggressive chemical, and slurry distribution systems, including those used in semiconductor manufacturing and clean-area applications. It’s non-relieving design requires a 5 psi differential across the valve, which leads to low hysteresis, better droop characteristics, and steady-state pressure control in fluid handling systems up to 120 psig.
The BR-8 utilizes a machined PTFE body with a precision-machined seat and diaphragm sealing area for superior leak integrity and chemical resistance. The large diaphragm allows for greater sensitivity to changes downstream, preventing the effects of pressure surges being transferred upstream. Its stainless steel spring reduces the effects of corrosive environments and ensures compatibility with a wide range of aggressive process media.
For increased flexibility, the BR-08 Series can be fitted with a variety of port configurations, including 1/2 and 3/4 inch Parbond and Parflare tube fittings. The fittings reduce assembly time and installation costs, while ensuring a leak-tight seal for reliability in applications where cleanliness is critical.
The tongue and groove seal of the BR-08 Series back pressure regulator ensures a positive diaphragm to body seal, which isolates process media from the atmosphere and provides added protection for the spring and adjusting screw. The regulator comes equipped with a positional mounting ring and flow direction arrow for ease of installation and time savings.
For a forward pressure regulator, refer to the PR-08 Series.
