Balston replacement filter cartridges offer high efficiency filtration with superior quality and consistent
performance. These robust, durable cartridges are designed to be used in Balston branded filter housings. Using other non-branded filter elements in Balston housing could result in poor filtration performance which could cause damage to your sensitive equipment and components resulting in costly maintenance.

The following filter cartridge types are available

LP are recommended for removal of liquids with a high solids content. These cartridges have an integral prefiter and an external support structure (flow direction from inside-to-outside).

Sintered Stainless Steel (M Type) are constructed of 316 stainless steel and are ideal for removing viscous liquids from gases, and for liquids containing large amounts of solid contaminants. They can also be used as prefilters to high efficiency final filters.

X type are used for removing solids and large amounts of suspended liquids from gases, and provide excellent chemical and temperature resistance to 300°F (150°C). Thick walls ensure optimum coalescing efficiency. The binder is fluorocarbon resin.

Q type are used for removal of solids and trace amounts of liquids from gases. These cartridges are also ideal for liquid service and particulate removal. Offer excellent chemical and temperature resistance.

H type are recommended for oxygen service or when X or Q type filters are unsuitable. Temperature resistance to 1000°F (538°C) in dry gas, and 100°F (38°C) in liquid. Constructed of quartz.

CI cartridges remove trace quantities of oil vapor. A layer of activated carbon situated between two layers of microfiber filter media absorbs the oil. Maximum operating temperature is 180°F (82°C).
